Tommy has been playing drums since he was 13 years old. From early on he taught himself the songs of great bands like Steve Miller, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ELO, Kansas, Rush, King Crimson and the Beatles. At the age of 16 he started taking lessons from prominent teachers such as Mike Abbott and Jim Chapin, Harry’s father, as well as quite a few of the locals he idolized.
In the early 80’s, he was playing in big bands, classical orchestras and performing with local rock acts. After high school he succeeded in finding session and jingle work in Manhattan, and has since worked sessions on both the East and West coasts.
Tom has toured nationally several times with many original bands. In the late 90’s, he opened up Blokhed Studios in Deer Park, NY, and now makes a living as an engineer, producer and session drummer.
